Awesome Bunurong Marine Park
Bunurong Marine Park – Where the 12 Apostels of the Great Ocean Road Go for Holidays ??
… at least this was the first impression when I was walking along this beautiful coast line and saw that similar rock formation :-D
The Bunurong Marine Park is a 2 hour drive from Melbourne. The village next to the Marine Park is Cape Paterson in the region of South Gippsland, Victoria. At a sunny day almost as impressive as the parts of the Great Ocean Road. A great opportunity for a day trip from Melbourne area.
The broad rock platforms and underwater reefs of Bunurong Marine Park support a remarkable range of habitats, containing a diverse array of plants and animals.
Put on a mask, snorkel and flippers and venture into the remarkable world that lies beneath the water’s surface. There are a number of good spots to snorkel in the park such as Flat Rocks with its profusion of large rock pools and „The Caves“ which has a large pool opening out to the sea that is accessible at low tide.
If you prefer to stay on dry land, the George Bass Coastal Walk offers stunning coastal views.
